Biographical Information
A Little Bit About Us, Our Website and the VetInfo Digest
Michael Richards, D.V.M. co-owns a small animal general veterinary practice in rural tidewater Virginia. Dr. Richards graduated from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. He has been in private practice since graduating from veterinary school. Dr. Richards is not a specialist in any area of veterinary medicine. He has been the director of the PetCare Forum (tm) on America Online (tm) and co-founded TierCom, Inc. the company that produces the VetInfo Digest and www.vetinfo.com with Michal Justis in 1996. All of the veterinary information on our website is written by Dr. Richards unless otherwise noted. Dr. Richards is married to and practices with Maureen Richards, D.V.M., a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She is usually referred to as Dr. Moe Richards when mentioned on the web site.
Michal Justis has worked in graphic design and has a strong interest in other artistic endeavors such as sketching, printmaking, beadwork and polymer clay work. It was a leap to move to web site design but Michal has managed to keep the www.vetinfo.com web site up and running since its inception. Michal answers all of the general email and maintains the web site. Michal helped to organize WildCare, Inc., a wildlife rehabilitation organization and also worked as a receptionist at the Richards' veterinary hospital for several years.
