    When my pit bull bloats, I feed him pumpkin. They said it can help stop it. But the best thing to do is seek a vet's opinion.

    The best thing I have found is to keep a drool rag nearby, and wipe his jowels (inside and out) after he is finished....

  • Q:How do you exercise your dog during the winter?

    Fortunately, I live in California, so I can easily exercise my dog regardless of the season. I take her to the local off leash dog park where she can run, fetch a ball, and play with other dogs.

    I think one of the easiest home made cat treats is a little bite of canned tuna. I also give my kitty a taste of plain yogurt a couple times a week to help ease her stomach issues.

  • Q:What’s the best cat flea treatment?

    When my Maine Coon cat had fleas after we boarded her, we took her to the vet, who prescribed a medicated flea bath. It did a great job of clearing it up.

  • Q:What can you do to stop dog snoring?
  • A:

    I own an Australian Blue Heeler and it had a snoring problem. I went to the vet and he told us that it is not drinking enough water. I have been giving it more water, and now it is not snoring as much.

  • Q:What are ways to help your blind dog adapt?
  • A:

    Help him at first by keeping your floors as clutter free as possible. Then for at least a couple weeks attach him to you with a leash as you walk around the house. This will help to build his muscle and scent memory.

  • Q:What are some bad dog breath remedies?
  • A:

    I have a Basset Hound who sometimes gets bad breath. When he does, it is usually because of tartar buildup, so we use dog toothpaste and brush his teeth with a dog toothbrush. It clears his bad breath right up.

  • Q:What are some home remedies for dog arthritis?
  • A:

    I had a Collie for 15 yrs. and during the last 5 or so years of her life she suffered from arthritis. My vet treated her with Rimadyl. It seemed to help some. I also raised her dishes up off the floor so it was easier for her to eat.

  • Q:How do you stop a cat from biting her cast?
  • A:

    Try wrapping the cast with something unpleasant to bite, like tin foil or black electrical tape. If that doesn't work, try an unpleasant taste like vinegar or cayenne pepper mixed with water.
