Natural Liver Cleanse for Dogs

To help liver damage or prevent it, your dog should be given liver cleanse cures. The cleansing cure can be performed by altering the diet or by adding a few natural compounds to the dog’s diet.

Toxins and Impurities

The toxins and impurities can easily form in the dog’s blood due to the food the dog eats, unnecessary vaccinations and the substances inhaled from the environment.

Commercial dog foods contain a lot of additives and synthetic compounds that build up in the dog’s system, not being filtered by the liver.

There are a few vaccines and boosters the dog requires to build immunity for common diseases, but there are also a lot of vaccines the dog doesn’t need.

The chemicals that exist in the environment and the dog is constantly exposed to are not healthy for the liver in the long run.

The medications the dog gets may also contain a lot of toxins that can be a burden for the liver.

The accumulation of these toxins may result in different diseases affecting the immune system, the skin or internal organs. The dog may also experience a state of lethargy.

Cleansing Cure

The liver needs a cleansing cure which will take off the liver’s workload, allowing it to regenerate and prevent liver disease or liver failure.

A cleansing cure can get rid of the toxins in the dog’s body and the impurities from the blood. The cleansing can be performed by altering the dog’s diet and eliminating fatty foods for a few weeks. There are also special remedies that can be given and have a cleansing effect.

A natural cleansing cure has most benefits and no side effects.

The natural remedies that can have a detoxifying effect include:

  • Milk thistle (Carduus marianus), with great detoxifying power
  • Burdock root (Arctium lappa) offering a great immune system support
  • Greater Celandine (Chelidonium majus), which improves liver health

These ingredients can be mixed and used as a tincture, which can be added to the dog’s food. Alternatively, teas can be prepared and the dog should drink 200 ml of tea each day for at least 2 weeks for a full cleansing effect.

There are also other ingredients that are often used in homeopathy that purify the body. These ingredients include Kalium muriaticum or sulphates and phosphates. These ingredients shouldn’t be applied in pets without consulting a homeopath first.

Effects of Liver Cleansing Cure

After a natural liver cleansing cure, the dog’s body will be filled with a cleaner blood supply. The cure will also improve the blood circulation as well as the metabolism and give more energy to your pet.
