Vaccinations can help prevent most cat infections/disease. All cats should be properly vaccinated between 6 and 10 weeks of age at the very latest. Between 6 and 10 weeks of age, maternal antibodies are no longer protective. This means, the cat will have to rely on his own underdeveloped immune system to fight off common cat infections/disease such as distemper, rabies, feline influenza, Lyme disease, and ringworm.
