Cheer Up Your Depressed Dog

A depressed dog is heartbreaking to say the least. Depression can happen for a number of reasons, but it is almost always easy to cure. If you want to cheer up your dog, take a look at these helpful tips.

Interaction
Nothing will cheer up a depressed dog faster than human interaction. Dogs love to play, run, walk, and spend time with their owners. If you can't be around to play with your dog all day long, consider getting another dog or cat to keep your current dog company.

Depression Caused By Pain
Sometimes canine depression is a sign that something is physically wrong. If your dog doesn't want to play or interact, it's possible that there is a physical ailment. Take note of whether or not your dog is eating, drinking plenty of water, and having consistent bowel movements.

Food Toys
When a dog is forced to stay inside all day long, they can become depressed. To cheer up an indoor depressed dog, look into purchasing a \"food puzzle\" for your dog. These puzzles require constant canine interaction in order for your dog to get a bite of food. Your dog will love this toy, and it will prevent your dog from becoming bored while you are away.
