Liquid Cat Shedding Solution and Shampoo Products

Cat shedding is an issue that virtually every cat owner will have to deal with. There are only a very small number of breeds of cats that don't shed significantly. Shedding is a normal part of the cycle of a cat's coat of fur. It helps to keep your pet properly temperature regulated throughout the changing weather of the year and will play an important part in maintaining your pet's health. However, many people find the excess fur that ends up scattered around the house to be a nuisance, and it can also contribute to allergies. For these situations, there are some pet shedding solutions and shampoos which may help to reduce the amount that your cat sheds.

Shed-Stop

Shed-Stop for cats is one of the best oral medications designed to eliminate dander and to reduce shedding. This medicine is available in liquid form and can be drizzled over a pet's food or mixed in with his water. By giving your pet this medicine, you're in fact providing him with a supplemental set of vitamins and other nutrients. These include omega fatty acids of several types, evening primrose oil and many other ingredients. Combined, these tend to help to improve your pet's overall skin quality and hair quality. They can work to reduce the itchiness of his skin, which in turn will limit the dander that ends up in the air of your home. They will also help to keep hair firm and healthy, which limits its likelihood to fall out and be shed around the home.

Shed Terminator

Shed Terminator functions in a similar way to Shed-Stop. This supplement contains vitamins D and E, omega fatty acids and much more. The idea behind Shed Terminator is much the same as that for Shed-Stop, and the results are very similar. However, many people find that their pets do not like the flavor of Shed Terminator. If you have a cat that is particularly picky already, you may find that it is not helpful for him to begin to eat Shed Terminator along with his food. It may cause him to completely refuse to eat.

Lipiderm

Lipiderm is a gel form shedding solution. It can be applied directly to your pet's food. It comes in an alternative form which may be used as a shampoo. For cats that have a difficult time stomaching the supplements listed here and above, and that may refuse to eat any food that has shedding solution mixed in with it, it can be beneficial to consider using a shampoo or surface level product. Many cats dislike being bathed, but others actually enjoy this process. If your cat does enjoy a bath, consider giving him a treatment using the surface level formulation of Lipiderm to help control his shedding and dander.
