How can I get rid of scabs on my cat?

My cat gets scabs on her body mostly around her neck and down her back. When I apply frontline or advantage the scabs go away for a while but then return. Is this a mite or allergy and what can I do for her. thank you

If the scabs go away when the flea medication is applied and return when it runs out, then I would expect she has a fleas in her environment that bother her once the medication is no longer protecting. Even one flea bite can cause a cat to react as if they are covered with them. This is usually a sign of a flea allergy and causes extreme itching, which will lead to scabs and skin irritation. Keep the flea medication on her long-term, and wash all bedding and fabric. Flea sprays can be used in the house if you notice fleas in the carpet. -Erin, Vet Tech

I wonder, is it the spillage of milk that cause her skin peeling? Can the spillage cause irritation? But I usually wipe it after i feed her.

We have also tried special cat baths that do seem to help but if used every week, if there is a lapse in time or a possible insect bite, she goes crazy. It is not fleas! PS older cat
