Is this okay with a cat dewormer?

I noticed worms by my cat's butt and gave him one dose of dewormer. He still has worm pieces by his butt, should I give him another dose so soon? Can i give my cat another tape worm tablet, after a couple days if i still see worm?

Tapeworm segments can attach to the fur surrounding the anus and have the appearance of dried pieces of rice. Usually a single dose of a dewormer called praziquantel will clear an infection, but sometimes a second dosing given 3-4 weeks later is required to kill all worms that are present. Do not give your pet another dose of praziquantel until at least 3-4 weeks have passed. Make sure you are wiping your pet's rectal area to remove the segments so that your pet does not ingest them. The most common cause of tapeworms in dogs and cats is concurrent flea infestations, for fleas can carry tapeworm eggs and when ingested cause tapeworm infections in the pet. You therefore may want to consider having your pet evaluated for fleas or treated for fleas for 3 consecutive months even if no live adult fleas are seen on your pet (can be sometimes difficult to find on cats due to their extensive grooming habits). Tapeworms can also be acquired from cats eating rodents and other small animals that carry the parasite and so you may need to keep your pet indoors to prevent predation. Rebecca, DVM

She hasn't really slept at all. I don't know exactly what they gave her, but when will it wear off?!
