My kitten has bugs. Help me identify?

We found a kitten under our porch. She has some kind of orangish brownish bugs. They do not bother me or my kids. In fact, I have only seen them on her. I don't want to have to take her to the pound if it is something i can treat cheaply at home my husband will allow us to keep her.

It is not possible to tell you from your description what these bugs are. It is likely, however, that they are fleas, as fleas are very common on kittens. Your veterinarian should be able to identify the bugs for you and help you get rid of them. If they are fleas, many over the counter products and natural remedies are not very effective, nor are they very safe for young kittens. Fleas can be a big problem for small kittens as a bad infestation can drain a significant amount of a kitten's blood and lead to serious health concerns or even death. Your veterinarian can help you get rid of fleas and treat any problems they may have caused.
